Leslie "Junior" Buchanan, 83 was called home from this life on Monday, March 6, 2017, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Junior was born February 123, 1934 in Lawrence County, MS to Leslie F. Buchanan and Ida Morris Buchanan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home, visitation also will Thursday from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM March 9, 2017. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, March 9, 2017 with graveside services following in Buchanan Family Cemetery. Bro. Paul Stephens and Bro. James McKneely, Sr. will preside over the services, Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by his wife of 55 years Peggy Mullins Buchanan of Monticello, three daughters Rhonda Gentry and husband Joe of Braxton, MS; Melissa "Missy" Jones and husband Neil of Monticello, MS; Shanta Killingsworth and husband Keith of Monticello, MS; one sister Earlene Howell of Monticello, MS; six grandchildren Trey Faust, Blake Faust, Matthew Jones, Andrew Jones, Amber Allen, Alaina Killingsworth ; 10 great children Brodie, Cash, Daxton, Kyla, Angeline, Luke, Lane, Syler, Salem, and Hank.
Preceding him in death were his parents Leslie and Ida Buchanan, three brothers Elzy, Delmus , Altus Jewel Buchanan; one sister Zula Magee and one great grandchild Kayleigh.
