Lawrence Dudley Thomasson, Jr. (Larry), 63 of Monticello, MS passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at his home in Tilton, MS. He was born Saturday, January 14, 1961 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

A private memorial was held on Saturday, September 17, 2024, at John Felder Memorial Park for family and close friends. Wilson Funeral Home oversaw arrangements.

Larry was a devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He loved cooking on the grill outside for and with his family, and he did so often.  Larry worked as a sheet metal finisher and welder and Fab-Tek for more than two decades.  he loved his work and everyone he worked with. He loved to train men from their start and turned them into exceptional workers.  When he saw potential in a young man, he taught him everything he would need to know to make him great.  Larry's heart was so big and full of love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence D Thomasson, Sr. and his mother, Mary Bryant.

Survivors include his wife, Miley Powell Thomasson of Monticello; daughter, Lauren Thomasson (Eddie Neese) of Pearl, MS; daughter, Jessie Tanksley of Monticello; Jeremy Tanksley (Ashley) of Amite, LA; four grandchildren, Paige, Sandy Kate, Weston, and Colton.

Pallbearers were Kevin Case and Pat Warren.
