Lance Wayne Errington, 59 of Oak Vale, MS passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Friday, November 13, 1964 in Jackson, Mississippi.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Lance loved his family. He loved to work on cars. Lance had a huge heart and was willing to help anyone at a moment's notice.  He considered himself as his family and friend's protector.

Lance worked for many years at Georgia Pacific in the powerhouse. Later in life, he was a boiler maker and a fireman, and an EMT as well.

Lance is to be honored as an organ donor with Mississippi Organ Recovery Association.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Clint Errington; grandfather, Earl Errington; grandmothers, Bertha Errington and Ruby Renfroe; nephews, Aubrey Jesse Sanders and Jacob Trace Errington; niece, Ashton Brooke Sanders.

Survivors include his son, Ryan Errington; daughter, LaKisha Helton; father, Donald Errington; mother, Ernestine Renfroe Errington; grandchildren, Bentley Errington, Ann Marie Errington, Lala Errington, Tessa Schielder, Tyler Schielder, Prince Hendrix, and Hayden Griffith; sister, Gina Sanders (Lance) of Oak Vale, MS; nephew, Matthew Ryan "Bubba" Sanders; nieces, Briana Sasser, Abbie Errington, Jessica Carter, Crystal Sanders and Ashley Sanders; special friend, Tammy Errington; and his special baby girl, Adelynn Grace Sanders.  He also is survived by a host of family and friends that loved him.
