Obituary

Keith Owen Jones, age 70, went home to be with the Lord, on March 24,2026 at his home in Jayess MS. He was born on November 5. 1955 in Jackson MS. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Frank Jones and Mary Hedgepeth Jones.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Pam, his children Owen Jones (Shelley) Saucier, MS, Melissa Peterson (Benjamin) Tacoma , Washington, Christian Wilson,

(Katie) Austin, Texas. His grandchildren, Finley, Amber, Michael, Jett and Andrew who will miss their Grandpa .  He has a sister Brenda McBeath (Ken) of Ridgeland, MS and Frank Jones ( Patricia) of Huntsville, Texas.

Also survived by sister and brothers- in-law Janice and Darrall Salter and Todd and Lokea Wilson.

Keith was 1973 graduate of Wingfield High School and received a Business degree at Mississippi State University in 1977 and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.  He also had a year towards his master's degree. He was employed for many years as a Financial advisor where he set up many retirement plans for people in Mississippi.

Keith's greatest passion was spending time with his family and friends and also enjoyed reading, writing a political blog, woodworking, and yard work. Keith was a follower of Jesus Christ and devoted time to praying, reading and studying the Bible. He was an avid lover of animals and had many through the years, dogs, cats chickens and peacocks.

Keith is a former member of JJ White Presbyterian church, in McComb. He was a "people person" and many loved him.  He was a very Spiritual, intelligent, kind and giving person.
