Mrs. Julia "Juju" Elizabeth Kyzar Frazier, 65 of Monticello, MS passed away on September 10, 2022, at the University Medical Center, in Jackson, MS.
She was born Dec. 26, 1956, to her parents, Ray and Verine Beard Kyzar in Jayess, Mississippi.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Michael Frazier of Monticello, one sister, Barbara (Jerry) Kennedy of Summit, and one brother, Raymond (Nelda) Kyzar of Jayess; and one sister-in-law, Kathleen Frazier of Ocala, Florida.
Julia had no children but lovingly claimed her nieces and nephews as her own. Renzie (Tony) Brister and her daughters, Shaunacee and MaKenzie Mealer of Monticello; Tina (Tony) Ham and her children, Bethany and Christian Boyd of McComb; Donna Martin of Alabama and her son, Brian Ginn of Columbia; Violet (Jason) Scheel and her children, Hannah, Jared and Jordan Scheel of Beebe, AR; three nephews, Joe Ben (Katy)Thames of Prattville, Alabama and his children, Amber, Jacob and Shawn Thames of Brookhaven; Reginald Kyzar and his boys, Hayden Kyzar of Sherwood, AR, and Jacob Kyzar of Jayess; and Richard Kyzar of Jackson, MS.
Preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Betty K. Martin, and brother-in-law Willie, of Summit, Louise Thames "Lou Lou" of Monticello, and Rev. Linda K. Kyzar of Beebe, Arkansas; and one nephew, Trent Kyzar of Jayess.
Juju was loved by all of her family and many friends. She was a loving and caring wife, sister, aunt, and friend, and always interested in what was happening in each of their lives. Julia was of the Pentecostal faith and loved the old-time way of worship and songs. She was very talented in singing and playing the piano, and she loved camping, fishing, cooking and having family gatherings at her home for Thanksgiving with lots of wonderful food and always family singing around the old piano.
Through the years she worked as a trained and licensed CNA in a Nursing Home, in Kentwood, LA, and as Bookkeeper/Secretary for St. Helena Acceptance Corp. She was very dedicated to her work in Mental Health for many years as a Medical Transcriptionist and Receptionist. Later she served as a Home Health Caregiver for several years.
Services will be held Friday, September 16, 2022, at 12:00PM at Wilson's Funeral Home in Monticello, with Bro. Bren Smith, officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM until funeral services at noon. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Jayess, Mississippi.
