Mrs. Juda P. Brister, 92 of Jayess, MS passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her residence. She was born June 29, 1927 in Tylertown, MS to Dewitt N. and Dullie Luvenia Gunnell Sandifer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Tilton United Methodist Church in Jayess, MS and continuing Friday, July 12, 2019 from 10:00 AMM until service time at 2:00 PM at the Church with graveside services following in Tilton United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Kevin Trantham and Bro. Creighton White will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Juda Pat was an active member of Tilton United Methodist Church, playing the piano for many years, sharing her other talents of cooking, encouraging others by sending get well cards and big hugs, and she was on many church committees including many years on the Cemetery Committe until her health declined. She was a homemaker but she also drove a school bus in the Lawrence County School District, for Topeka-Tilton Attendance Center; worked at Kellwood Manufactory in Monticello; The Otasco Store in Monticello and wrote Tilton News for the Lawrence County Press for 58 years. Going to the Smoky Mountains (Maggie Valley) with Hugh, her husband and family was something she absolutely loved. Mrs. Juda Brister will be remembered by so many for being kind, and full of love for everyone.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many; she will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children Karen Mitchell, Tony Brister and wife Joy, Doug Brister and wife Dawn, and Sandy Brister and wife Kim all of Jayess, MS; 13 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.

Preceeding her in death are her parents Dewitt and Dullie Sandifer; husband Hugh Brister; daughter Patricia(Sissy) Caul; one brother Dewitt (Mart) Sandifer; one sister Eloine Buckley; Two Great Grandchildren Ty Brister, Baby Sartin; son-in-law Mack Mitchell
