Obituary

Joshua was born April 22, 1998, in Brookhaven, MS, the son of Dale & Stephanie Stephens. Josh graduated from Lawrence County High School in 2016, where he excelled as an athlete on the baseball, football, and soccer teams. He went on to earn a business degree at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where he was a pitcher on the baseball team.

Josh worked as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed traveling and working all over the United States.

Josh enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors. He especially loved hunting and fishing with his friends and family. Josh was outspoken, but had a kind, caring, generous spirit that, along with his quick, infectious smile, endeared him to many.

Remaining to cherish Joshua's memory are his parents, Dale & Stephanie Stephens; his sister, Kristin, and her husband, Zachary; his brother, Hunter, and his wife,Layton; nephews, Rex & Boone Williams; niece, Lottie Stephens; grandmother, Elaine Stephens; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, as well as his faithful companion, his dog, Goose.

Preceding Josh in death were his grandparents, Franklin & Mary Simmons, and John Stephens.

Visitation will begin Friday  at 12:30 pm, at Bethel Baptist Church, with a memorial service to begin at 2:00pm. Dr. Adam Wyatt will officiate.
