Obituary

Mr. Johnny Michael Minchew, 64 passed away on February 5, 2019 at his residence in Pearl, MS. Johnny was born October 7, 1954 in Laurel, MS to Jack and Clydell Cockrell Minchew.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9 , 2019 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM at Wilson
Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Ford will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Johnny worked at Mississippi State Hospital for 25+ years.   He had many hobbies: hunting, fishing, attending/watching Pearl Pirate football, and was anavid CB/Ham Radio operator, call sign: (W5DXZ/Snowman).A very patriotic man that flew the flag with pride. Johnny was revered by all that met jim, was loved immensely, and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his children: Will (kara), Abby (Tony), Jamie (John Sr.), Jimmie (Edward), Jackie (Anthony) and grandchildren: Samantha, Parker, Zachary, Brennen, Matthew, Benjamin, Evie, Ashton, Bailey, Emma, John Jr., and multiple cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ann, and his parents Clydell and Jack.
