Proverbs 16:7 says, "When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him."

Wesley was a gift from God to Sister Bonita and the children. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his family very much. Most importantly, he loved God. He loved going to church to hear God's word, and to worship and praise the Lord.

Wesley was a quiet, kind and thoughtful person. He was a big kid at heart. When he got married, he played with the kids as if he were one of them and did the same when the grandchildren came along. They all loved him dearly. We will all miss him very much! A part of us is gone now, but he will never be forgotten.

Wesley was very much a family man. He loved his Daddy, Mrs. Carolyn, and all his brothers and sisters along with their families. He also loved traveling to Arkansas to visit his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sunday morning February 1st he went on the trip he's been longing for. He's with Jesus, healed, at peace and rejoicing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Catherine Jacks McCoskey, and his brother, Charles McCoskey.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Bonita McCoskey of Monticello, MS;  son, Brad Tanksley, Jr (Adriane);  daughters, Yvette  Smith (Michael) and Rachel Pennington (Dale);  father, Donnie Ray McCoskey (Carolyn);  brother, Buddy Gibbons (Natalie);  sisters, Kathy Carpenter (George), Sherry Brister (Curt), Merry Lunsford, Susan Arnette (Russell) and Jerri Montgomery (Pat);  grandchildren, Keith Smith (Jenna), Rebekah Stephens (Lane), Elizabeth White (Bubba), Naomi Smith, Eden Smith, Addie Raye Pennington, Braylee King, Brooklyn Roberts (Chase), Billie Tanksley and Jasee Mullins (Charlie); fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
