Graveside services for John Powell Jenkins, 70, will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2 PM at Enon Cemetery in Jayess. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jenkins, 70, of Jayess MS, passed from this life on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at his residence in Jayess. He was born on November 19, 1946 in Franklin, LA, to Robert and Bessie Thomas Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was retired from Tennessee Power Company after thirty years as a lineman. He loved his dog "Punch", and he enjoyed working in his garden, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Faye Porter Jenkins, four brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his brother, Odies Jenkins of Gulfport, MS; numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends Jerry and Gwen Ard , and one very special friend.
