John Bedford Davis Jr., 81 was called home from this life on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Veterans Center in Kosciusko; MS. John was born October 12, 1935 in Lawrence County, MS to John Belford and Ethel Mae Lambert Russell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 19, 2017 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, continuing on Thursday July 20, 2017 from 9 AM until service time at 11. Burial will follow in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Harvey officiating the services.
Mr. Davis served his country during the Korean War; he was retired from Keystone Seneca after 31 years. He was a member of Carmel Baptist Church. He loved playing his guitar and singing.
Surviving John is his son Thomas "Tony" Davis of Hattiesburg, MS, and numerous cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
