Joe Paul Stormo, 64 of Monticello, MS, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his residence in Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11am, on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello, MS. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Joe worked as a building supply sales representative, owned Stormo's Sporting Goods, and retired as an OCC Operator from Georgia Pacific. He worked for the past 38 years as a hunting guide in CO.
Joe was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and JoAnn Stormo and stepmother Lib.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Brenda, daughter Christy Hawn and children Laken, Lucus and Jesse of Pass Christian; son Scott Stormo and boys Lawon and Brody of Monticello; brothers Donald Stromo and Margaret of Atlanta, GA; Jim Stormo and Angel of Metarie, LA and sister Miriam Williamson and Emmitt of Oakvale, MS and many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cancer society fund at Bethel Baptist Church.
