Joe Henry "Peewee" Rutland, 54 was called home from this life on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Peewee was born August 6, 1963 in Tylertown, MS to John "Buck" Thomas and Evon Dunaway Rutland.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with funeral services on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM with graveside services following in Calvary United Pentecostal Cemetery. Bro. Ray Bowling will preside over the services, Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rutland enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing and hunting, having cook outs with family and friends. He loved his church and church family. Peewee worked on his land with his wife beside him he enjoyed doing everything he could with Teresa.
Surviving Peewee is his wife of 35 years Teresa Garris Rutland of Jayess, MS; daughter Cassey Brister of Monticello, MS; three grandsons Blaze Brister, Taylor Brister, Wyatt Brister of Monticello, MS; one granddaughter Audrie Taylor of Monticello, MS; four brothers Braxton Rutland of Bolton, MS, Windell Rutland of Jayess ,MS, Thomas Rutland of Jayess, MS, Donald Rutland of Jayess, MS; four sisters Birdie Mae Temple of FL, Glenda Mulberry of Clinton, MS, Bonnie Phillips of Jayess, MS, and Jeannett Perry of McComb, MS.
Preceding him in death were his parents, son Joe Henry Rutland Jr. and one brother Pat Rutland.
