Mr. Joe Peavey, 75, of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his residence in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Joe was born May 10, 1945, in Monticello, Mississippi to James B. and Irene Rutland Pevey

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello, with graveside services following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, Mississippi. Reverend Diane Woodall will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello. Joe will be missed by everyone.

Joe is survived by his wife of 21 years Mavis Peavey of Denham Springs, Louisiana; daughters Natalie St. John, Texas, Jo Ellen Allen of Texas, Cristie Lofton of Monticello, Wendi Shoultz of Louisiana; sister Bonnie Clark of Monticello; Ronald Pevey (Kathy) of Monticello, 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

Those preceding him in death were his parents; brother Murray Peavey.
