Obituary

Larue Boyles 97, went home be with the Lord on Saturday September 19. 2015.

Visitation is 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS they will continue Wednesday 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Monticello Baptist Church. Service will be at 12:00 P.M. at the church. Graveside services will be follow at Monticello Municipal Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the services.

Larue was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II and made a career of 25 years. After his service years he returned to live in Monticello in 1968 and opened the Mini Mart. He was a member of the Civitan Club and the Exchange Club. Larue was native of Monticello, MS but he had been a resident of Ridgeland, MS since 1999 and had been living in Brandon Rehab Nursing Home since 2012 until his death.
Larue considered dumplings, creamed potatoes and a few Ritz Crackers to be his favorite meal, and he thought that everyone should have a dog named Shorty.

Mr. Boyles was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Mary McGrew Boyles; parents W.C. and Maude Glover Boyles; 4 brothers, 1 sister and grandson Trey Jones.

Survivors include his children Jerry Boyles, Morgan City, LA; Jeffrey Boyles, Ridgeland, MS; Linda Chin, Denver, CO; Susan Loyd, Ridgeland, MS; Sister Marie Templet, Silver Creek, MS; 8 grandchildren.
