Jerome T. "Bud" Dillon, Sr., 80, of Monticello, MS passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Walthall County Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, September 22, 1943 in Tylertown, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at New Life Church in 1095 F.E. Sellers Hwy, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Life Church in Monticello, MS. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery in Monticello, Mississippi. Pastor Jay Thompson and Pastor Jonathan Toler will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573
Mr. Bud enjoyed and loved his family dearly. He loved his farm and animals, gardening. He loved KLove and classic country music. Mr. Bud had a huge amount of wisdom and will be missed greatly. Mr. Bud loved his church family dearly as well.
He was preceded in death by his father, John T. Dillon; mother, Georgia Terrell Dillon; brother, Elwin Dillon; sister, Melba Dillon Johnson (Major).
Survivors include his wife, Jean T. Dillon; son, Jerome T. Dillon, Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Dillon Loftis (Hank); grandchild, Dillon Loftis (Chloe); sister, Gayle Dillon Strickland (Gary); and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Loftis, Bill Seton, Tom Brumfield, Curt Toler, Brad Johnson, Brett Johnson, Mark Chavers, and Reggie Chavers.
Special music will be performed by Kathy Monroe and Suzanne Thompson.
