Obituary

Loving Mother and friend, Janice L. Hyde, 76, passed away peacefully December 13, 2022. She was born on August 28, 1946 in Jackson, MS to Dale and Lucille Parham.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 16 at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS from 10:00 AM until funeral services begin in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 noon. Graveside services will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She had a love for horses, dogs, and family. She was a great cook and is known for her chicken and dumplings, carrot cake and chocolate cake. She also loved old school rock and roll, especially ZZ Top. She worked several jobs over the course of her life including owning her own business, but one of her favorites and passions was web design.

She had an infectious laugh and would love to be remembered for funny, silly, or strange stories to celebrate what was good and blessed in her life.

Survivors include her children; Mindy Rutland of Tupelo, MS; Glenn Hyde (wife Christy) of Monticello, MS; and Lynn Tullos (husband Rolan) of Brandon, MS.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Hunter and Austin Rutland, Lauren Tullos McGowan (husband Devin), Ashley Tullos, Madison Hyde Nations (husband Bryson), Katelyn Hyde, Ray Hyde; and four great-grandchildren; Mary Gray, Brooks, Weston and Karlee Sue.

Survivors also include a host of other relatives that were so very dear including a sister-in-law, Sherry Parham Burchfield; a sister, Cindy Boatner; nieces and nephews, cousins and so many friends that she would be proud to call family.

Pallbearers are Glenn Hyde, Rolan Tullos, Monty Hilton, Ray Hyde, Damon Yates, and Dale Parham. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Hilton, Hunter Rutland and Austin Rutland.
