Obituary

Funeral services for James "Red" William Bozeman will be on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Hepzibah Cemetery in Silver Creek, MS. Bro. Bobby Dawson will be conducting the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, August 23, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Mr. Bozeman, 84, of Monticello, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Lawrence County Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on November 5, 1933 in Lawrence County, MS, to Sedgie Ford and Flora Peavey Bozeman.

Red in his younger days enjoyed horses and fast shooting. He retired from the oil field as a tool pusher and drove trucks. He served in the National Guard and was a loving father, grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Willie Pearl Kyzer, and brothers, Sedgie Bozeman, Jr., Paul Wayne Bozeman and granddaughter Alanna Anne Bozeman.

Survivors are his sons, David Wayne Bozeman of Silver Creek, MS, Galen Ford Bozeman of Silver Creek, MS and Michael Lambert of Jayess, MS; sister Cassile Kyzer; 6 grandchildren, 2; great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
