James Daniel Stansbury, 81 was called home from this life on Friday, August 26, 2016, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. James was born September 3, 1934 in Abbeville, LA to Dewey and Rhea Beauxis Stansbury.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. James was a retired barber. He was a devoted volunteer for Jefferson Parish and the city of Gretna, LA. He was a devoted Catholic, he enjoyed spending time working in his church.
Surviving James is his wife, Loretta Stansbury of Monticello, children; Dylan James Stansbury, Andia and husband Larry Jones of New Orleans, LA; Colt Bulot of Arizona, Amy and Leroy Stansbury of Monticello. Step-Children: Dr. Joe Ward, Danny Ward and Kathy Bryant all of Monticello and one sister Lou Lamaison of New Orleans, LA.
