Butler Howard, SR, 76 of Monticello, MS passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, Mississippi. He was born Friday, May 27, 1949 in Silver Creek, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home at 904 W. Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Butler; mother, Thelma Mae Hearn Butler.

Survivors include his son, Howard Butler, Jr.; grandchildren, Maddox Butler, Maeli-Klaire Butler, McKenzie Butler and Marilyn Butler; brother, Wilburn Lee Butler; sisters, Diane Butler, Becky Butler; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
