Howard Everett Smith, 71 was called home from this life on Friday, July 21, 2017, at University Medical Center in Jackson; MS. Howard was born September 1, 1945 in Hazlehurst, MS to Grady and Mozella Smith.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 24, 2017 from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag, MS, with graveside services following in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ed King and Bro. Andy Fullington will preside over the services, Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Howard worked for Roberts Farm Supply in Brookhaven and owned his own dozer service for years. He was well known by the community and was very loved by his family. He loved cooking, horses, and being outside and working in his garden. He was a master of all trades.

Surviving Howard is his wife Marlene Smith , son Chris Smith and wife Carla , daughter Pam Peavey and husband Wayne all of Sontag. Grandchildren: Amber Warr, Kayla Smith, Bailey Peavey, and Morgan Smith; Great Grandchildren, Caden Case and Paxton Hodges.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
