Mrs. Helen Jewel Blackwell, 76 of Monticello, MS passed away on March 6, 2019 at Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg, MS. Helen was born June 8, 1942 in Hattiesburg, MS to Charles Douglas and Easter Lillie Runnels White.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello with service time at 2:00 PM. Graveside services following in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Phil Hemby and Bro. Jimmy Harvey will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by his husband Morris Ellis Blackwell of Monticello, one son Morris Dean Blackwell; one daughter Marcia Denise Blackwell; two granddaughters Nikki McGarrah and husband Brad, Charlie Brock; one grandson Blake Blackwell and wife Leslie; great-grandson Brent McGarrah; great-granddaughter Carrigan Barnes; one sister Joann McMillian, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Easter Lillie Runnels White.
