Ms. Hazel Carolyn Loper King, 78 was called home from this life on August 18,2018 at Crossgates Merit in Brandon, MS. Carolyn was born August 22,1939 in Monticello, MS to John Alvin and Beatrice Ballard Loper.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 20, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello and continuing Tuesday August 21, 2018 from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM with graveside services following in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tyrone Wells will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, visiting with her family, and deeply loved her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Carolyn is survived by her children, daughter Terry (Donald) McAlpin of Brandon, MS, son Curtis Allen King of Jackson, MS and daughter Barbara "Sam" (Ricky) Stephens also of Brandon, MS, sister Lorriane Hyde of Monticello, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is peceaded in death by her parents John Alvin and Beatrice Ballard Loper, brother Edward Loper, sisters Bernice Williamson and Pauline Lee.
