Gladys Tyrone, 87 of Monticello, MS passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the BeeHive in Brookhaven, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, July 10, 1937 in Sontag, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Wanilla Baptist Church at 997 Smith Ferry Road, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Wanilla Baptist Church in Monticello, MS. Burial will follow in Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, MS.  Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

Gladys loved her family very much, she loved the outdoors as well, especially fishing, hunting and gardening. Gladys loved crafting and quilting. She was very involved in the church, singing in the choir, and working the nursery.  She never missed a funeral nor shower.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Tyrone; sons, Glenn Tyrone and Ricky Tyrone; father, Jewel Ed Douglas; mother, Ollie Smith Douglas.

Survivors include her son, Randy Tyrone (Melinda) of Monticello, MS; daughter, Susie Tyrone Mann (Logan) of Jackson, MS; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Martin (Greg); grandchildren, Jessica Mangum (Carl), Kayla Boyles (Brad) and Travis Tyrone (Rachel); great grandchildren, Levi Mangum, Huston Mangum, Georgia Mangum, Brelynn Boyles and Jordan Tyrone.

The family would like to give special thanks to Brady Wilson and the staff at Beehive Assisted Living, and to St. Luke End of Life Care, especially nurses Bailey and Joan. You will never know how much you have meant to us in our time of need!
