Mr. Gary S. Boutwell Sr., 72 of Sontag, MS passed away on April 11, 2019 in Sontag, MS. Gary was born October 23, 1946 in Brookhaven, MS to Norris Pervis and Eunice Estell Seale Boutwell.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag, MS and continuing Monday April 15, 2019, from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church with graveside services following in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ed King and Bro. Kendall Boutwell will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Gary served as Lawrence County Constable for 20 years. He loved spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and loved church and all activities there. Gary was an avid knife collector; he also loved his farm, goats, all other animals and going to D&D Trade Days; and one of his most favorite pass times was embarrassing his grandchildren on Facebook! He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Deanna Beaudry Boutwell of Sontag, son Gary S. Boutwell Jr. (Susan) of Brookhaven, MS; daughter Michele D`Antoni Smith (Mitchell) of Brookhaven, MS; brother Maxie Boutwell (Judy) of Sontag; grandchildren Weston Boutwell (Annie), Rachel Boutwell Brister (Gage), Emily Grace Boutwell, Kyleigh Boutwell, Anna Beth Smith; two great grandchildren Noah Brister and Joseph Boutwell.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
