Franklin Leon Johnson, 80 of Sontag, MS passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He was born Monday, January 31, 1944 in Sontag, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Shiloh Baptist Church at 596 Sontag Nola Road, Sontag, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Monticello, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Sontag, MS.  will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

Franklin was an incredible auto mechanic, and avid automotive enthusiast that loved tinkering with anything that had an engine. He was a very loving and caring soul that enjoyed spending much time as much time with his family as possible. He never met anyone that didn't just adore him from the start.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann Taylor Johnson;  son, Franklin Paul Johnson;  father, Leon Robert Johnson;  mother, Ethel Douglas Johnson;  brothers, Paul Johnson, Mac Johnson, Dennis E. Johnson, Roy Johnson, Joe Johnson;  sisters, Holline Johnson Mount and Stella Mae Johnson.

Survivors include his sons, Billy Wayne Johnson of Madisonville, TN, Tony Johnson of Sontag, MS; brothers, Bliss T. Johnson, Walter Johnson and Alvin Johnson; grandsons: Andy, Frankie, and Anthony Johnson; granddaughters: Ashley and Rachel; great grandsons: Shawn, Matthew, Oliver, and Asher.
