Frank W. Roberts, 83, was called home from this life on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Forrest General Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS. Mr. Roberts was born on October 25, 1932 in Monticello, MS, to Needom and Ruby Dunaway Roberts.
Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, March 20, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The graveside service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 3 PM in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dr. Dave Caves will be conducting the services.
Mr. Roberts served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Silver Creek, MS. He worked for many years as a cook in several different industries. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving him are his daughters, Linda Roberts Deitz and husband Brian of Panama City Beach, FL, Debbie Roberts Teston of Gonzalez, LA, and Paula Roberts Cobb and husband Samuel of Sontag, MS; brother, Norman "Cowboy" Roberts and Tommy Roberts; sisters, Grace Roberts Hutchinson, Shirley Roberts Hearn and Frances Roberts Mullins; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, Needom and Ruby Dunaway Roberts; wife, Jane Clay Roberts; brothers, Dennie Roberts, Paul Roberts and Bennie Roberts; and sister, Doris Brown.
