OBITUARY

Mrs. Frances Elmeze Russell Loper, 90, of Monticello, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at the Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, Mississippi. Frances was born March, 8th, 1933 in Lawrence County, Mississippi to Earl V. Russell and Emma Wilson Russell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 2 until 3 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services at 3 PM. Graveside services will follow in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello , MS. Bro. Jimmy Harvey will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Loper enjoyed going to singings, and she was always ready for a trip to New York city or the mountains with her sister, Juanita and special nieces, Earline, and Debbie.

Elmeze was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Those left to carry on her legacy are her daughter, Wanda Loper; her sons, David and Dale Loper; her sister-in-law, Patsy Russell; her special sister, Juanita Russell King; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Frances was proceeded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Edward Loper; her sons, Jimmy Loper and Carol Loper; her sister, Earline Russell; her brother, Earl D. Russell Sr.
