Mrs. Ellene Virginia Rivere, 96, of Jayess, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her residence in Jayess, Mississippi. Ellene was born March 5, 1925, in Tylertown, Mississippi to Thomas and Ethel Sistrunk.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 28, 2021 from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Divide Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello, MS. Bro. LaDon Dawson will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Ellene retired from the Lawrence County Schools as a teacher. She was a loving wife, and friend. She was a kind-hearted woman who enjoyed caring and providing for others, especially close friends and family.  She was a member of Divide Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello, MS. Ellene will be missed by everyone.

Ellene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lynn Rivere of Jayess, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

Those preceding her in death were her parents, brothers, Robert Lee, Thomas R., Jolly C. and Dean B. Sistrunk and 1 sister Ina Lee Lloyd.
