Edward Lee Magers, 90 of, Ponchatoula, LA passed away Monday, July 15, 2024 at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond, LA. Edward was born July 14, 1934 in Ingalls, Oklahoma to Curtly and Julia Magers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 PM all at Wilson Funeral Home, Monticello. Graveside services will follow in Roberts Memorial Cemetery, Jayess.

Edward was loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the Unites States Marines, retiring with over 25 years of service.

Edward is survived by his wife Betty Magers of Ponchatoula, LA; children, Clayton Brister, Jr. (Faith), Curt Brister (Sherry), Theresa Landry (his best friend Joey Landry), Steve Magers, and Christine Carmack (Robert); 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sonya Smith; a daughter-in-law, Belinda Brister; and a granddaughter, Casey LaSage.
