Mrs. Dottie Ruth Thames Hill, 94, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. She was born to Walter S. Thames and Dottie Ruth Ward Thames.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday March 20, 2021 at 12 PM at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 72 years, James Edison Hill, and her parents and her in-laws, John C. and Zora Ann Hill. She was also preceded in death by her son John Patrick Hill and his wife, Mary Hill, as well as a grandson John Clifton Hill. Also preceding her in death were her siblings, sisters; Audrey Pauline Cain, Gussie Norton, Jessie Nettles, Ethel Boyd, Madge Thames, Helen Eady, Eulyce Eady, Nell Case, Betty Fay Jones; and her brothers, John Thames, Ray Thames, Ward Thames, and Dave Thames.

Survivors are her son Gregory Matthew Hill and his wife Sheila, and a daughter Sandra Kay Newman. Mrs. Hill is also survived by her grandchildren Carmen Elizabeth Hill, Holly Suzette Clem, Scotty Boyte, Paige Boyte, Justin Boyte, and Lesli Anne Hill, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
