Dorothy Nell Henceroth, 88, was called home from this life on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, MS. Dorothy was born November 13, 1928, in Sontag, MS to Jesse and Susie Honea Douglas.

Visitation will be held on Sunday January 22, 2017, from 1 PM until service time at 2 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag, MS, with graveside services following in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ed King will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the services.

Dorothy was retired from Lawrence County School, where she taught 1st grade. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her church family. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Surviving Dorothy is her children, Joy Langley and husband Donald of Sontag, Kenneth Cummings of Cedarville, AR and Jesse Cummings of Bossier City, LA; step-daughter, Kathy Henceroth Smith of Bassfield, MS; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse and Susie Honea Douglas; husband, William Henceroth, son, Danny Cummings; sisters, Frances Salley and Christine Roberts; four half-brothers, Herbert Douglas, Ben Douglas, William Douglas, and Dick Douglas; and four half-sisters, Inez Phillips, Charlene Henslee, Ruby Cagle and Jewel Bounds.
