Doris Cain Carr, 96 was called home from this life on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at St. Tammney Hospital in Covington, La. Mrs. Carr was born November 9, 1919 in Bogalusa La, to Thomas and Bell Cain. Visitation will be held on Monday February 29, 2016 at 12:00 with funeral services at 1:00 at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Paul Smith will be officiating the services. Wilson Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
Doris loved to do her crossword puzzles, travel, spend time with her family but most of all she loved God.
Survivors are her children Robert Carr of Monticello, Judy Holmes and husband Oscar of Monticello, Lisa Oliver and husband David of Monticello and Sarah White of Monticello.
Mrs. Carr has twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Grady "Tink" Carr her parents Thomas and Bell Cain, brother Sammy Cain, sisters Gladys Holmes and Helen Sullins, daughter Jacquelene Summers Morgan and grandson Joey Melanson.
