Mr. Delma Thornhill, 82, of Monticello, MS passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Southwest Mississippi Medical Center in McComb, MS. Delma was born October 28, 1937, in Tylertown, Mississippi to Paul Lee and Buena Mae Burnett Thornhill.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM at Powell's Grove United Pentecostal Church in Jayess, MS with graveside services following in the Church Cemetery.  Bro. Glenn Hilton, Bro. Ronnie Turner and Bro. David Clark will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Delma was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved his family.  Powell's Grove United Pentecostal Church family was also loved by him.  Delma owned and operated the Snack Shack for many years and people loved to go get his snowballs, peanuts and cracklings; not to forget the fingers he saved by shelling peas for people.   He had many friends that came by the store to visit and tell tales.

Mr. Thornhill is survived by his wife, Edna McNease Thornhill; daughter Belinda Thornhill; son Garry Thornhill (Karole); three grandchildren, Dana Thornhill Stone (Jason), Megan Thornhill, Carlie Davis (Caleb); three great grandchildren, Emily Hux, Caleb Hux, Aubrey Davis; two brothers Paul Thornhill and Tommy Ray Thornhill.

Those preceding him in death were his parents Paul Lee and Buena Mae Thornhill.
