Mr. David W. Maxwell, 66, of Monticello, Mississippi passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, Mississippi. David was born January 26, 1955, in Eupora Mississippi to Rugie Maxwell and Velma Morgan Davis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, Mississippi with graveside services following in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  Bro. Jimmy Harvey  will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

David was a loving father, brother grandfather and friend. David enjoyed hunting and fishing and caring and providing for others, especially close friends and family. He was a member of Carmel Baptist Church in Monticello; MS. David will be missed by everyone.

David is survived by his sons, Dwayne Maxwell (Christy) of Silver Creek, MS and Justin Maxwell of Monticello, MS; one sister Judy Hall and one granddaughter Breeland Maxwell.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and one sister.
