Darlie Joyce King, 88, of Monticello, Mississippi passed away on March 1, 2024 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Darlie was born April 11, 1935 in Tylertown, MS to Lewis Jackson and Wadie Day Rowell.

Visitation will be held at on Tuesday March 5th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM Wednesday with funeral services following at 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS. Graveside services will follow at Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery in Jayess, MS. Bro. David Williams will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. King loved her Lord first and foremost and was a  member of New Hope Baptist Church. Her family was second in line for her love and attention. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She began enjoying this hobby at the age of six. She was an avid family game player.

Darlie is survived by her sons: Bobby and David King (Laura); daughter: Barbara Whitten (Gregory); brother: Terry Rowell (Brenda); 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.T. King; her son: Jerry King; her daughter, Wanda Carney; her sisters: Jackie O'quin, Sylvia Rankin; brother, Mitchell Rowell.
