Mrs. Darlene Walker, 64, of Prentiss, Mississippi passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Lawrence County Nursing Center. She was born October 18, 1958 in Syracuse, NY to J. R. and Carolyn Portwood.

Mrs. Darlene Walker raised her children and worked for many years, but her passion was making art, mostly Louisiana based art.  She also loved gardening and flowers, and, of course, her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children; daughter, Christie Lopez, and her husband, Pablo Lopez; and son, Kelly Adams; five grandchildren, Matthew Delhommer, Allysa Adams, Lilly Walker, Cy Walker, and Jayden Lopez; sister, Colleen Yelverton; brother, Robert Portwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harney Walker, III; and son, Harney Walker, IV.
