OBITUARY

Christine B. Cupstid, 84 of Crystal Springs, MS passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, MS. She was born Thursday, May 9, 1940 in Florence, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home at 904 W. Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS. Burial will follow in Old Crystal Springs Cemetery in Crystal Springs, MS. Bro. Wilbur Lynn Cupstid and Bro. Darrell Bates will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-587-2573

She was the most caring person always spreading Gods word, lending a helping hand, cooking, playing the piano and had a smile that would light up the dark. Her home was always open to anyone who needed a hot meal, a hug, advice or a shoulder to lean on, she was that safe place. The love for her family was as vast as the midnight sky and deeper than any ocean, she would do anything for the people she loved. She was one of Gods true angels who walked this earth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Robert "Huey" Cupstid; father, Jessie Albert Broadwater; mother, Cary Mae Elliott Broadwater; brothers, Gene Broadwater (Ruby), Roy Broadwater (Lucille), Elliott Broadwater and Burton Broadwater; sister, Lucille Broadwater Johnson.

Survivors include her son, Robert Cupstid (Debbie) of Crystal Springs, MS;  grandchildren, Melissa Manning (Scott) of Wesson, MS, Brittany Ezell (Stuart), Kim Harrison (Jack), Richard Odom (Roxi), Roger Odom (Emily), Dan Shumaker (Susanna), Michael Shumaker (Emily) and Heather Burgess (Eric), Toye Whittington (Barret) and Patrick Daughdrill; great grandchildren, Charles Bates, Jr., Jade Manning (Dontae), Hayleigh Seros (Chandler), Ryan Manning (Gracie), Mallory Ezell, Madison Ezell and Mason Ezell; and six great-great grandchildren, Jackson Lee Bates, Raelynn Rose Manning, Kensley Faith Seros, Greyson Lewis Manning, Waylon Chandler Seros, and Rowan Henry Bates.

Pallbearers will be Scott Manning, Ryan Manning, Dan Shumaker, Chandler Seros, Leon Williams, and Stuart Ezell

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Shumaker, Richard Odom, Roger Odom, Patrick Daughdrill and C.J. Bates.
