Funeral services for Charles J. Hawn will be on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Jayess Baptist Church in Jayess, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Greer Cemetery in Jayess, MS. Bro. Michael Smith and Bro. Harrell Ables will be officiating the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements, Visitation will be at Jayess Baptist Church on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Mr. Hawn of Jayess, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 17, 1939 in Lawrence County, MS, to Charlie and Emma Alexander Hawn.
Charles retired from Georgia Pacific after 35 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed his Sunday Class.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Chris Hawn; two daughters Andrea &Alicia Hawn; twin grandchildren Carmen and Cassandra; three brothers Jonah, Wesley, John Henry Hawn; three sisters Betty Hawn, Bertie Walker, and Eudena Clark .
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Rebecca Hawn of Jayess, MS; son Tim Hawn and wife Hope of Monticello, MS; one sister Gertie Alexander and husband Howard of Jayess, MS; four grandchildren Hannah Bree, Laken, Lucas, Jesse; and one great Grandchild Brylee Rae.
