Cecile "Nanny" Smith, 87 of Monticello, MS passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born Wednesday, October 7, 1936 in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in 904 W. Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, Mississippi. In her long and productive life, Cecile played a variety of roles. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She worked as a hostess at Wilson's Funeral Home. Her most beloved part was that of "Nanny," where she provided Justin and Jeremy Mullins with the utmost tenderness and devotion. Her love will live on in these two sons, as well as her grandson, Ripken Mullins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith; father, Larce Alton Kyzar; mother, Maggie Marie Ballard Kyzar; brothers, Jimmy Dale Kyzar and Larce Kyzar; sisters, Olean Lacosta and Linda Faye Clark.
Survivors include her sons, Justin Mullins of Monticello, MS and Jeremy Mullins; grandchild, Ripken Mullins; sisters, Wanza Smith, Yvonne Davis, Maxine Russell.

Pallbearers will be Billy Mullins, Emmett Davis, Randall Mullins, Sterling Allen, Chris Kyzer, and Wayne Smithie.
