Catherine L. Goad Davis, known as Kathy to all who knew and loved her, went to her heavenly home on January 27, 2018 where she is singing praises in the presence of Jesus. Kathy was full of energy and life. She loved her family her church and her pets that she lovingly called her "fur babies". She was a resident of Silver Creek, Mississippi and a member of Bible Church of Silver Creek. Heaven has gained a most precious angel!
She is survived by her husband, George S. Davis of Silver Creek, MS, Daughters and Sons in law: Margie and Frank Johnson of Mt. Hermon, LA, Liz Redmond of Albany, LA, Ethel and Gerald Walker of Monticello, MS, Dorothy Goings of Mt. Hermon, LA, Melda Ainsworth of Tickfaw, LA and Lela Rose Davis of Pascagoula, MS. Sons and Daughters in law: Monroe and Louise Redmond of Ethel, LA, Woodrow and Misty Redmond of Dyersburg, TN, and William "Floyd" Redmond of Silver Creek, MS. Kathy had thirty five grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Three Sisters and one brother: Elsie and Sidney Johnson of Greenwell Springs, LA, Shirley Seal of Hensley, Arkansas, Elbie and Bobby Brumfield of Norwood, LA, Paul and Lauren McCreary of Watson, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Mitchell Goad and Alice Howard McCreary, a son Jackie Redmond, two granddaughters Renne Redmond Ford and Alice Redmond Henry and a great grandson Nathan Thomas, four sisters, Mary Goad Capace, Sadie Goad Worley, Pauline Goad Parker, and Mavis Goad Cleveland, a brother Russell Goad, a step son, Scotty Davis, and two sons in law, Bobby Earl Johnson and Billy Ray Goings.
Pallbearers are: Steven Johnson, Alan Goings, Robert Redmond, Mitchell Redmond, Cody Redmond and William "Bobby Redmond". Honorary Pallbearers are: Michael Redmond, B.J. Goings and Gavin Burch.
Funeral Services will be held on January 31, 2018 at 9:30 am for visitation with funeral services at 1:30 pm at Bible church of Silver Creek, 1247 N.A. Sandifer Memorial Parkway, Silver Creek, MS, officiated by Brother Malcolm 'Buck" Rester with interment to follow in the church cemetery
