Carolyn Sue Deare Hyde, 85, of Monticello, Mississippi peacefully departed this earthly life at Lawrence County Hospital on December 29, 2021. She was born on December 26, 1936 in Sontag, Mississippi to A.D. and Minnie Daughdrill Turnage.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 31 at 11:00 AM at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Monticello, Mississippi. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A true woman of God, Carolyn Sue loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church when she was able. She enjoyed gospel music, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

Carolyn Sue was preceded in death by her husbands; Lavelle Deare and Charles R. Hyde, and by her parents as well as three brothers; A.D. Turnage, Jr, Maxie Turnage, and Barry Edward Turnage, and three sisters; Frances Odom, Bonnie Jean Breeden, and Edna Earl Armstrong.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Wier (Rick) of Pelahatchie, Mississippi, and her son Donald Deare (Judy) of Ruth, Mississippi. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Sylvia Givens. She was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family.
