Mr. Buford Howell Jr.,75, of Jayess, MS passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his sons' residence in Jayess, MS. Buford was born December 22, 1944, in Jayess, Mississippi to Buford Howell Sr. and Christine Coon Howell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, with graveside services following in Powell's Grove Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Bro. Scott Johnson will officiate the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Buford was retired from the construction industry as a boilermaker, Local #110 for 29 years. He also owned and operated his Dairy Farm, also worked as a carpenter and later opened Howell's Pecan Barn. He loved spending time with his family, he was always glad to lend a hand & help out a neighbor.

Buford is survived by wife of 55 years Georgia Fay Howell of Jayess, MS; sons, Brad and Renea Howell of Byram, MS, Eric and Dana Howell of Jayess, MS and Keith and Amanda Howell of Jayess, MS; 6 grandchildren, Evan Howell, Alex Howell, Dylan Howell, Kelton Howell, Ashlyn Howell and Preston Howell; 2 brothers, Jerry Howell and James Howell (Dorothy); 3 sisters, Betty King, Mary Lou Lambert and Ruby Roberts (Gary); also numerous nieces and nephews.

Those preceding him in death were his parents and 2 brothers Larry Howell and Joe Howell.
