Brenda Kay Barrett Russell, 83, of Monticello, MS departed this life on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025 at her home.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Church at 828 Pleasant Grove Road, Monticello, MS. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following in the church cemetery. Bros. Tyler Bridge and Slade Powell will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brenda loved her husband, O. B., and her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart and soul. She was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed piddling in her yard, growing vegetables, and visiting with friends and family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, O. B. Russell. She is survived by two daughters: Vicky Russell and Tammy R. Smith (Mike); two sons: Randy Russell (Susan) and Benjamin Russell (Joy) all of Monticello. She is also  survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
