Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Peavey Adcock, 61, of Jayess, MS passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Brenda was born March 3, 1961, in Annapolis, Maryland to Conely and Olene Reid Peavey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Topeka Baptist Church in Jayess, MS with funeral services on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at 9:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at Divide Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery. Bro. Dale Authement and Bro. Brenda was a beautiful, God-fearing soul that lived for her husband, kids, and grand kids. She never met a stranger and loved helping others and making an impact in their lives, expecting nothing in return. She was the foundation of her family; the glue that held them together. She will be deeply missed by all that ever had the pleasure of meeting her.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Hoyal "Skipper" Adcock of Jayess; children; Christopher Banister (Brandi), Ashley Thomas (Matthew), Hanna Adcock (Tyler Rutland), and Samantha Boyd (Will); grandchildren; Maddie Grace and Mayson Banister; Hayden and Brayden Thomas; Maylee McNeese; Raven Quick; Ally, Brantley, and Nash Boyd. She also leaves behind a brother, Conely Wayne Peavey (Pam), along with her nieces and other extended family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, and by two brothers, Walter and Kevin Peavey.
