It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bobbie Jean Sellers, 88 of Monticello, MS passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at her residence in Monticello, Mississippi. SHE was born June 6, 1936 in Jayess, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening, December 16, 2024 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, December 17, 2024 at 11:00am at New Hope Baptist Church with burial at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bobbie was a wonderful Christian woman, who exemplified Proverbs 31. She was a loving wife and mother. She taught children and youth Sunday School classes. She was a softball player in her youth. She was a gardener and loved flowers. She had the talent of sewing and was gifted in the art of quilt making. Bobbie loved to read all kinds of material. In recent times, she spent her days with adult coloring books. After she lost her eyesight, she started listening to the audible version of the Scriptures, and other books as well. She loved gospel music and was a very talented singer in her own right.

She was preceded in death by husband: Billy Hearn, Dan Sellers; Parents: Melvin O'Quin and Enzie Harper O'Quin; and Brother James O'Quin.

Survivors include Step Son: Shawn (Donna) Sellers; Daughters: Susan (Ronnie) Thames and Sandra (Maurice) Williams; Grandsons: Shane (Jennifer) Boutwell, Andrew (Allison) Hartley, Tyler (Margaret) Sellers, Tucker Sellers, and Brandon Williams; Granddaughters: Melanie (Patrick) Dender, Samatha (Greg) Preuss, and Jeana (Ryan) Lambert; 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
