Billy Reynolds was born in Ruth, Mississippi on October 10, 1936 to parents, Willie and Ruby Reynolds.  Billy came from a large family being the oldest of 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
When he turned 17, Billy ran away to join the marines and serve his country. Billy proudly served during the Korean War. There, he learned to drive vehicles in the service and fell in love with trucking. When he left the service he started his lifelong love of trucking,  first as a milk man and later with bigger vehicles; even hauling trailers.

In February of 1957, he married Peggy Rester and together they lived in many places, but eventually settled in his beloved Silver Creek, MS.  He was married to Peggy until she passed away in 2006.  Later, he married Christine Wallace, a Silver Creek native, and were together until she passed away in 2015.

In his life, Billy Reynolds was blessed with 7 children: Patricia, Stephen, James, Terry, Schanta, Michael and Tony.  He had much love for his family and spent many hours enjoying his life with them. He was later blessed with 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Family reunions were always a highlight for Billy as he had a heart that was always open for more. He had a heart of Gold.

Billy Reynolds followed the lord, our savior, and was always the first one at Church. It was known that if the church doors were unlocked, Billy Reynolds was there. He was faithful and raised his family in the lords love.

Billy Reynolds had many joys in his life besides his family. If you had the time, Billy would teach you to play dominoes and then try to win every time. He was an avid player and hard to beat. He had the uncanny knowledge of sensing just what you had in your hand before you played it.

Another joy was being outdoors fishing with his son Jimmy, and his friend, James Williamson.  He loved having a rod and reel in his hand and a lake at his feet.

Every morning that Billy could, you would find him having breakfast at Ramey's in Monticello. There were times that when Billy was a no show, someone at Ramey's would get worried and call to see what was going on. They loved seeing his smile, and like church, he was usually their first customer.

Billy Reynolds loved his adopted home of Silver Creek. He volunteered to assist in the voting precinct and later became an alderman for the town around 2007. He was still in this position until his passing, on Wednesday morning.

Billy Reynolds is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy Rester Reynolds; his wife, Christine Wallace Reynolds; his daughter, Patricia Goodman; his great-grandson, Cody Horan; his son, Terry Reynolds; his brother, Eddie Reynolds; his sister, Mary Freeman; and his, sister Linda McRaney.
