Obituary

Billy Joe Parkman, 77, was called home from this life on March 3, 2018, at his residence in Stumptown; MS. Billy Joe was born October 19, 1940 in Oak Vale, MS. He was the "Son of Alton Parkman and Everett and Myrtis Lowery Smith.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 5, 2018 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Hepzibah Baptist Church in Silver Creek and continuing Tuesday March 6, 2018 from 10 AM until service time at 12(PM at Hepzibah Baptist Church with graveside services following in Hepzibah Cemetery, Silver Creek, MS. Bro. Rick Munn and Bro. Rickey Johnson will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Billy worked as Tool pusher in the Oilfield for many years, and then he started his own logging business until he retired. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in his garden with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church.

Surviving Billy Joe are his wife Carolyn Parkman of Stumptown MS; sons; Matt Parkman (Bedonna) of Stumptown; Michael Trott (Marty) of Silver Creek, MS; daughter Candence Parkman also of Stumptown. Grandchildren; Dametaris, Trista, Skye, Christen, Lancey, Lakyn, and Landon; and 6 great grandchildren. Brothers; Butchin Parkman (Opal), Lowery Parkman (Patsy), J.E. Parkman (Joyce), Jack Smith, Terrell Smith (Jennifer), Tom Smith (Debra), and Tony Smith (Angie), one sister; Opal Oliver.

Preceding him in death were his parents Everette ane Myrtis Lowery Smith.
