Billie Faye King was a modest woman who was excellent at a lot of things. She was a devoted wife, an exceptional mother, and an outstanding Nanny. We will always remember the pallet parties, shelling peas on the carport, and canning pickles and strawberry figs. Our Sunday's were spent around Nanny's kitchen table. She took great pride in cooking, and those meals every Sunday will always be a cherished memory to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Whether it was turnip greens and cornbread or tomato gravy and biscuits, it was the best. When it comes to the grandchildren the girls outnumbered the boys, but she didn't mind. She loved us all the same, but she made sure her girls knew three things: always make the bed as soon as you get up, don't let anything go to waste, and always save the bacon grease. Her family was her pride and joy. To most, Billie Faye was the salt of the Earth, but to her family she was everything.
Love always, The Grand Girls
