Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jane King will be held at Oak Grove Pentecostal Church in Jayess on Sunday, January 19 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon; a visitation will also be held at the church on Sunday, from 10 o'clock in the morning until time of services. Graveside services will follow in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Monticello. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. King was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi on January 21, 1943 to Buford L. and Christine Coon Howell; she was a lifetime member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, James Ray King; as well as three brothers, Junior Howell, Joe Howell, and Larry Howell; a sister-in-law, Jan Howell; and a brother-in-law, Terrell Lee Lambert.

Survivors include her sons, Craig (Peggy) King and Tim (Donna) King; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) King, Scott (Tori) King, Daniel (Chelsey) King, Michael (Kaitlyn) King, and Hope King; great-grandchildren, Maddie Grace, Colburn, Mason, Cole, Conlan, Cal, Colter, Jessen, Bella, Carver, Aaron, Selah, and Taryn; two sisters, ML Lambert and Ruby (Gary) Roberts; two brothers, Jerry Howell and James (Dorothy) Howell; and two sisters-in-law, Georgia Howell and Peggy Howell; along with other extended family and friends.
